I love these patterns. I've done up three of them and they always turn out impressively. I combined a few patterns from Simply Delightful to make a marriage plaque for my sister and she loves it. My mother is a school teacher and I gave her the teacher. For myself I have Santa riding Rudolf from Simply Delightful. It is sooo cute. I hope to do the mini nativity and a valentine one in the future. I certainly have enough patterns to last me a while. Thanks for the great resource! |

I feel as though I have hit the gold mine. I have a few of Mary Helen's pattern's and they sell so good. They are very fun to paint. I would like to know if there is a pattern book that has a boy fishing on the front cover along with a girl. He is actually hold fish (they are blue in color) and there is a blue fish that will hold pencils also blue on the front. I lost the book. It sure looks like Mary Helen's work but not sure. If this is not from your collection and you may have an idea of who the artist is, will you please let me know as I started paintig them a while ago and then lost the book before I could finish them. I am so glad to find this web site and I will be purchasing more from you. I send my love to the family and friends of Mary. She will surely be missed. I look forward to hearing from you. Like many others on this site, I put my paint brushes away several years ago. Recently I came across Mary Helen's patterns I had purchased at a convention and even found a worksheet she had kindly painted for me so I could reference her hair technique. I had no way of knowing how to purchase the wood because the patterns were purchased before the internet! Ha! I typed in 'Gould Creations' and here I am! I belong to Oklahoma Society of Tole and Decorative Painters in Oklahoma City and have been for years. We have a mini convention in Sept. every year of which I am director this year.

I just finished painting the three kings that are part of Mary Gould's nativity. The gals in my doctor's office purchased the central figures several years ago as a wedding gift for his daughter. I happened into your newsletter this morning while placing an order for more of Mary Helen's patterns this morning and was deeply saddened by the news of her passing. As a subscriber to the Artist's Club catalog, I had wondered why her patterns and books were no longer available and nothing new coming out. We, as the painting community, have lost a lot of wonderful artists these past few years. I have been a huge fan of Mary Helen for years!!!I once on a whim called a phone number in her book while painting one of her angels (to get tips on her incrediable hair) and I got to talk to HER!! I felt so giddy, like a school girl meeting her favorite movie star!! Mary Helen even went so far as to e-mail me a couple times. I hope you continue with her work and add some of your great ideas too. I would Love to see painting tips to some of your new designs. I love Mary Helen Gould'ss Precious Pals and use her Rub-on transfers for creating baby and wedding gifts. I cannot find these rub ons anymore and wonder if anyone knows where I might find them. I'm especially interested in the baby boy with the baseball bat and the girl with the baby bottle.
